Goings Along and Nuptials

I do apologize for the lousy picture. The original cake was blue, but I hope to have better pictures in a later post.

I wanted to explain away why I haven't been updating the site like I would like. Yes, I'm getting married. The wedding is just around the corner, too. It's thanks to my mother that I've been able to do as much as I've been able to.

The move went along... well. A few things were lost, some that will be missed, others not so much, but some that can easily be replaced. This has been a learning experience for me, for which I am grateful. It's a bitter lesson, but one that will be better learned now rather than later.

I've had a lack of inspiration as well as a lack of drive, but that's been due to planning as well as a nasty bug that has been going around. I've been fighting it off as best as I can, and hoping to not spread it to my family. I'm hoping that I was able to keep my fiance from suffering another bout because I think that it would have been worse this second time around.

Despite all that, my fiance and I are excited for the future. I'll be seeing two college friends, one that I haven't seen in years. She'll be coming all the way from Japan just to visit us. We hope to be able to visit her and her husband, a dear friend of my fiance's, in the upcoming year.

So much to do, and so little time. I'll make do, though. Thank you
