I like to go by MsNita McGray, but you can always call me, Nita. This is partially due to an art teacher I had in high school as well as a way for me to pay respect to my grandfathers. I'm happily married to a man, who supports my art in more ways than I can fathom.
Now, if I were to describe myself more as a person. I'm a 5'5" introverted weirdo. This has left me to be rather unpopular growing up. Eh, popularity is overrated anyway, right? I'm also a Capricorn born in the year of the Dragon. I'm not much of a drinker, but I do enjoying going out and socializing with my friends when I can. I've been rather sheltered life. So, there's a lot of things that I'm finding out about that existed during my childhood days and I never got to experience. (So, if you like my stuff and think I'd be interested in something that you loved growing up, don't be afraid to send a suggestion my way.)
I've always had a love for art. It was in high school that I resolved to pursue it as a passion. I graduated with a BFA in Animation with a minor in Graphic Design. However, an internship was rather difficult close to near impossible for me to get, which meant no easy way to get a foot in the door of any of the studios that I longed to work at.
I haven't given up on my dream of making a living on my art. I'm working on a new portfolio on top of a coloring book as well as my web comic, Hellsing vs ALIENS. In between all that, I still enjoy drawing fan art as well as writing a bit of fan fiction.

I reside within the panhandle of the Lone Star state. This kind of has my husband and me isolated as I only have one other friend nearby, while the rest of our friends are either out of town or out of state. This usually has us traveling to visit these friends. We also try and go around the time of conventions that we're interested in.
So, if there are any conventions that you'd like me to check out in Texas, let me know. There is a small chance that I won't be able to attend due to low funds or conflicts with our work schedules. However, with plenty of warning, we're usually game to give them a try.

When I'm not working at my job at an office store, I'm making art, no matter the content.I'll do fan art, original art, and my web comic. I've been reacquainting myself with more traditional medias, like watercolors and acrylics, but I have also been expanding my skills as a digital artist.
I love creating characters as well as creatures. I pull my inspiration from mythology, cryptozoology, pop culture, and other artists. My preferred style is mix between the western and eastern animation styles. This is because I pulled a lot of inspiration from anime when I was in high school. It's during college that I started doing creature hybrids. This led to an idea for a graphic novel as well as putting me on my journey to start making my own graphic novels.

While I love where I work and I love the people that I work with, I'd love to be able to devote more time to my art. That's the dream, is it not? However, it's mostly because I need some extra cushion for the bills that keep piling up on me. As much as my husband and I try, we're having a hard time staying afloat, and I'm hoping that Patreon will give me the boost needed in order to not drown in debt. What with a hospital bill, car bill (car up and died on me, needing a new alternator), as well as insurance and other bills, Patreon is just there to help me not go under.

Aside from my eternal thanks and gratitude? I plan on giving out stickers as well as postcards to my patrons. All patrons with receive digital downloads of coloring pages.
I'm always willing to take advice and constructive criticism in order to grow as an artist and an individual. If you have anything that you would like to see, I would love to hear it. I love communicating with those who view my art.
I'm so grateful that you have come across my page and browsed a bit. Please become a patron to view pieces that I don't post anywhere else.
