A nice cup of tea soothes the nerves.

If any have read my previous post, then you’ll know that my husband and I had an unsuccessful move. We’re both happily settled back into my mother’s home, and I’ve gotten back into a routine with my old job. The hubs has a new job now that he’s excited about.

So, we’re managing to get back on our feet and I’ve been getting back into my art. I had mentioned having plans, and one of those involved my YouTube channel. My resolution for this year involving my YouTube channel kind of went by the wayside, but I adjusted it for next year to be more achievable and plan on starting it early. My main goal is to try and at least upload one video a month. If I can be consistent in that, then I’ll see what I can do to start uploading more within reason. Many of the artists I already watch have me so starstruck with how often they are able to upload a new video and stick to.

I’ve started taking part in these monthly challenges and I have to say that I greatly enjoyed Smaugust. Shiptember was rather difficult to find a prompt list for, but I succeeded thanks to a Tumblr user, Shiptember. I have been uploading the sketches to my Instagram page, which has been a lot of fun. I’m upset that I didn't do much for either Junicorn or Julycanthrope, but I guess preparing for the move and trying to bounce back from it, it couldn’t be helped.

I might start doing research into cameras so that I might be able to record myself working on traditional medias. Granted, this might only happen after I get a bigger following on YouTube. Until then, I'll still be uploading them for people to see on one of my pages. Do I plan on making a career on YouTube? Maybe. Do I expect to make a living off of it? No, I still plan to have a job to help me along as the art community on YouTube is more of a niche than the other communities that have people that solely live off of YouTube.

On note of the hubs, he's working to become a professional Magic the Gathering player, and I'm right behind him on this. He's an incredibly talented player, and has shown the ability to play with many decks, even though his favorite guild is the Gruul Clans. I'm not that good, but he's had the patience of a saint teaching me how to play. Being the stubborn one I am, I've been slow to agree that he might be right on the fact that I'm not sneaky enough to play Blue. However, he's been supportive and helped me learn as have the players that I have lost to. It's a very amazing community like he has told me, and we hope that he can get to where he'll travel to other tournaments to work on his passion.

Now, I want to hear from you. What would you like to see more of on here? Which platform do you prefer to follow: YouTube, Instagram...? What would you like to know more about me or the hubs? Do you play MtG, and what is your guild?
